Exclamation What would you do in case of an emergency with you dog-Dr.Jon

What would you do in case of an emergency with you dog? What if your dog suffered from poisoning or heat stroke or was hit by a car? Emergencies like these happen all the time, just ask an emergency vet.

I know most people think it will never happen to them -but trust me - things happen.

Your dog's health is very important to me, so I want all my Petplace subscribers to be well prepared to deal with health emergencies.

So, I have made the decision to invest time over the next few weeks visiting animal emergency clinics and to write about my experiences and what I learned. I want to explain how pet emergency rooms operate, information about common emergencies and tips on how to prepare for and prevent these common emergencies.

Going out to pet emergency rooms will allow me to give you the best and most useful information. I'm really excited about this!

So... what do you do in the case of an emergency? The best thing you can do is to be prepared. It is important that you know who to call, where to go, what to do, and financially be prepared for an unexpected expense.

The first thing you can do is to find out how your vet handles emergencies. Does he see them himself or does he send you to a local emergency room? Call and find out. WRITE DOWN the phone number and directions. The best way to deal with an emergency is to prepare and plan ahead.
