Whipping or caning a dog who bites is not a good solution! It will either increase the dog's aggression or turn the dog into a fear-biter. I agree strongly with Cerz -- if at all possible, consult with a
reputable professional dog trainer who can gain some insight into why your dog is behaving this way and give you effective ways to change the behaviours. You may be surprised -- very often we humans unknowingly encourage dogs' bad behaviour. Good dog trainers train people as much as, or may be more than, dogs.
