Re: catnips
from my catnip packaging, I learn that it kittens under 6 months rarely react to catnip. I have a year old cat that goes nuts over it. The other one would just eat it. A grandma cat didn't like it. So.... I'd say the catnip is for OUR entertainment hehehe.
P.S and oh, dont use it too often. It wouldn't be that usefull if they get too much of it.
