Hello Picco,
Hope you don't think I'm nosy. In-breeding piggies will cause much disaster to not only you, but the piggies next generation. I have no objection on Mr. Toby with Mrs. Piggy, but Mr. Toby (the father) with Chibby (the daughter) is the start of mess to you and your piggies family. I have seen many cases of IN-BREEDING (ie. brother with sister, father with daughter, brother with mother etc). The risks:
(1) the more the female breed, the shorter life your pet is.
(2) the female hind legs became injured due to stomach bloated, at times their litters can be up to 4-5.
(3) the father and daughter breed: the next generation, either the baby's life won't last for 3 years or some infection disease will happen. Their legs, their health is somehow impartial and weak. You may be lucky if your chibby's litters can last more than 3 years lifespan.
I hope you all guys should have a little conscience about breeding. Yeah, some say they are just beast/animals. But the disaster is are they your pet or are they for breeding purposes? If you really love your pet, you should not breed them because you're actually shortening their lifespan.

This is not come through me. I read lots of lots information from international guinea pig forums and this is how those experts and specialists not minding sharing out their views and opinions.

GOD bless you and your piggies.
