Default Irresposibility cat owner!

Hello everyone,
I've adopted a kitten recently from Petfinder. The details that the owner provided was wrong. She said this kitten was 2 months old and I asked her if this kitten too noisy her answer was "not at all" The reason I can't have a too noisy cat is because I have a whinging neighbour. After she confirmed that the kitten wasn't noisy my husband and I went to her house. When we saw the kitten we were shocked...he was so tiny!!! Definitely is not 2 months old! She had a few cats at her house then she must know very well how old the kitten was. She said she was too busy and had no time for the little ones. My husband decided to adopt him due to sympathy . We bought him kitten milk powder and milk bottle and a comfortable bed. We don't mind look after a new born kitten as we had experience before. The first night he was quite quiet but the second day he started to made lots of noises. We tried everything we can but it didn't work. He was small but his voice was very loud and sharp. You know what happen next,my next door neighbour wanted report to the police. He claimed that he didn't sleep whole night... What worse is this kitten had serious ear mite problem and he passed it to my cat. We returned the kitten to his owner 5 days later and tell her about the problem. She didn't look happy at all.
I deeply believe there are many good fosterers/rescuers but there are also some that don't take responsibility for the animals. 1 month kitten is well too young to let them go. If the adopter have no experience with new born kitten then it could be a disaster. There is no law that the owner have to clean the ear mites before give it away but at least the owner should tell the adopter about the problem. Some owner just want to get rid off the animals and they are not honest to adopters.

There are a lot of people called themselves as animal lover but what does "animal lover" mean to them?

Default Re: Irresposibility cat owner!

Well, some of people take easy about this. Pity to the kitten coz when they are been separated from the mother at the young age. Normally most of the adopter just asking about their age not their birthday & it getting worst if the owner also take it easy just straight away answer by referring to no of month & not consider no of day(imagine kitten born at july 31st & now is aug 19th they count as 2 month. Simple mate maa..). Next time please ask about the kitten u want to adopt more details. Anyway next time before u feel pity to the kitten & want to adopt it please please please consider your environment 1st.

The funny part is some of the old owner doesn’t even know what types of cats have(breed). If u refer to the internet u can see DSH or DMH with the word mix persian(). Yes maybe it’s true mix persian with local cat but the genetic is more to local cat. So next time please consider about this.
