Why so people so cruel? Is there any laws to protect animals?

Last month I found a newborn kitten in a dumpster. She is cover with fleas and her litter cannot be found.. After struggling for a month to raise this little baby, she is now healthy and active, she can even eat wet and dry food already,.. No more bottle feeding for me.. phwee..

When I tot all this is over, my sis bring back another newborn (also eyes haven't open) from a dumpster in her university.. Well, still no idea whether this little one can makes it or not.. This just makes me so angry.. How can you throw a living creature into a dumpster like rubbish??

I think of the woman in England who was caught on CCTV petting a neighbour's cat, then picking it up and throwing it into a dumpster. When it comes to animal cruelty, I think humanity all over the globe is still far away from being a civilized society.

But then we have loving people who rescue cats from dumpsters to give us all hope.

If people can throw babies, what is animals? Owners throw their pets when a new born arrived. People tend to think that if they put their pet near eateries, the pet will not stave. One think for sure, pets are not street wise. They cannot fight for food and cannot defend themself.
I had rescued 3 cats and a dog that were so badly injured that they had to spend 4~6weeks at the vet.

This is so sad.. At least i know there are still kind-hearted people out there helping these little animals. Today just witnessed some stray dogs behind my house got caught and eventually to be killed..

Someone had poisoned my cat (yogurt) and two of my neighbour cats last night. They have to suffer so much before they finally taking their last breathe.

Two of my cats still roaming around since morning and no where to be found.

This is just so sad.. Can we report this to SPCA??

Last year there are many cases of babies being abandoned at the area you can't even imagine. Trashbin, dumping place, toilet, bus stops you name it. People only think about procreating but never have the intention to raise and provides for the babies. Gosh i hate beggers begging on the street holding small infants to get symphatise. Idocy have no boundries. Not saying i'm a perfect human but IMHO, if someone already knew they are not able to provide home for their children, they should learn about protected sex. Like i said, bad people do bad things, good people do good things to human or animals alike.

Grace, I am so sorry about your cats! May they rest in peace.

You are in Penang, is that right? You could contact SPCA and ask them for advice. They may refer you to the Department of Veterinary Services. I don't know if there is a law against putting out poison. (If not, there should be! ) If there is, though, DVS can investigate your neighbour.

Meanwhile, have you spoken with the neighbour who put out the poison? Does he or she seem like the type of person who would care that he is causing a slow, painful death for the animals who eat it? If not, it sounds like it's time to start keeping your cats indoors. :-(
