to me this is a new season with new motivations and new target for achievements...
not waiting for the limping horses to be ready only when half the season is finished...
Again my solid conclusion is, the boss is buying time for this horses to be on foot again...
And gamble putting and letting the young gunners against the weaker team as they assumed....
and getting this horses to be ready when meeting the top 10 teams...
i agree about Song... he is one of the good midfielder... but maybe Nasri is best to partner with Denilson at the moment... in fact, Nasri's goal was set by Denilson... and it's hard to blame Arsene for not fielding Ramsey... coz logically, they need to carefully intro the new players... not so many of them at one time... in the same time look for the matching pairs...

van Persie was fielded in the second half due to his inconsistensy last season... perhaps by playing him in the second half, when most of the players are already exhausted, he might have the high chances of scoring... this is important to boost his moral so that he could gain his confidence and start scoring like he used to be...

of coz Arsene should give priority to the key players... make sure they are 100% fit before start playing... afterall, they are the most experienced and important players... and they are not just preparing for Premier Cup alone, but Champions League as well and FA Cup if possible... that's why it is important for these stars to be ready by the time they are really needed...

regarding the assumption of West Brom as a weak team... who doesnt...? they're just promoted from the league one to premier league... i dont think any premier team will consider West Brom as a hard contender... who knows perhaps Sunderland also might consider them weak as well...

anyway, let's hope The Professor knows what he's doing... afterall... Arsene knows...!!!

Yeah me kind of agreed with your point of view...but things all started when the gunners moved to the emirates and everythings seem to be limited.and all those former players demand could not meet...so given up options by selling players to buy another players which I think is not the Arsenal style with wenger few seasons back...
May the team succeed in the coming matches..as it is only starting thou...

GO GUNNERS

that's rite... all the problem seems to begin when they moved to the new stadium... but the Emirates is actually a necessity... coz Highbury can no longer accommodate the increasing number of Arsenal's fan... let alone the visitors... and with simple calculation, big stadium means more spectators... and more spectators mean more income... but to pump up their bank account, that surely takes time...

and in my opinion... Arsenal will be a selling club for a few more years to come... unless it is taken over by billionaire... like what happened to Man U, Chelsea and Liverpool... and to stand tall among these 3 three big boys with their own financial source... is a sweet victory already...

Mikael Silvestre has joined the Gunners... good news...? yes, if he is completely recover from his knee injury... i admit that he is one of the most bold defender and quite efficient as well... but if he is still not that 100% fit to play... then, Arsene is gambling at high stake...

Fulham 1 Arsenal 0...

Well... what can i say... a lousy game from the Gunners... if Arsene wont do anything to strengthen the squad, i'm afraid that Arsenal wont even have the chance to remain in the top four... with Sanderos is more likely to move to AC Milan, then i really hope by having Silvestre is really worth it... otherwise, Arsenal weakness will have a complete package... apart from the atrocious forwards and midfields...

Do Arsene really knows...???

Go Young Gunners...!!!
Arsenal 4... FC Twente 0...

Well done guys... u have completed the route to Champions League elite's clubs final list... not to mention an estimated £25million jackpot awaits them following the qualification to the competition for an 11th straight campaign...

Hopefully with that 'bonus' Arsene will land one more star player... Alonso perhaps...???
