Regarded as "premium" food?..apa maksud premium pulak ekk.. ada specifications ker..
Ini yang I google tadi
Major brand-name dry cat food manufacturers often use primarily grain-based ingredients with animal protein by-products or animal digest to cut cost. Higher end foods offered as 'premium', 'natural' or 'holistic' formulas contain less or no grain, and a higher percentage of animal protein. However, grain-free dry diets still contain carbohydrates, from sources such as potato or tapioca. The starch in those ingredients allows the kibble to hold its shape. Cats have no metabolic need for carbohydrates as the feline system prefers to create glucose from protein.[2]

Re: Fancy Feast
bezanya RC mengandungi chicken meal, iaitu real chicken yg even good enough for human consumption. Yang lain2 tu mengandungi poultry-by-product meal, yg bermakna product ayam yang terdiri dari hati, limpa, tulang, kaki, bulu dan dan sebagainya. Lihat definasi poultry-by-product meal ;
http://cats.about.com/od/catfoodglos...ltrybyprod.htm
Definition: Consists of the ground, rendered, clean parts of the carcass of slaughtered poultry, such as necks, feet, undeveloped eggs, intestines, exclusive of feathers, except in such amounts as might occur unavoidably in good processing practices.
Examples:
Poultry by-product meal is an inferior source of protein in cat foods.
