You should take the dog to a vet clinic as soon as possible! This is not an injury to be taken lightly, and if you try to treat the dislocation yourself you may do more harm than good. PLEASE, get the animal to a veterinary clinic!

Re: anyone with experience for relocating dog's hip joint?
I already brought, to the Siva in animal medical centre earlier, because of his delayed treatment, i brought my dog to another vet which diagnosed her too late to be treated.
That's why I am finding another alternative because she is just 2 years old, I don't want her to limp for the rest of her life.
I just wanna know anyone who has or knows anyone who has this experience.

In my opinion, the bet vet to treat orthopaedics is Dr Yeoh in Taman Megah.

Re: anyone with experience for relocating dog's hip joint?
I already brought her there. A vet named Dr Ong said he had discussed with Dr Yeoh that only surgery can be done, but there is no guarantee that she can walk after the surgery, there is a 50% chance that she can't use her limp anymore.
We don't really want to 50% chance to happen, that's why I am here looking for another better alternative

Re: anyone with experience for relocating dog's hip joint?
I'm treating the same case like your dog. I rescued this dog, golden retriever who has relocating hip joint. My vet said can be done with surgery, but because the fees kinda expensive, I delayed it, and my vet suggest me to feed him with Hill's Prescription JD. After 2 weeks, she looks so much better, and walk like normal. When I took her to the Vet, Vet said seems like she doesn't need surgery, but we will see how's the condition with X-ray.
You could try, or come to my Vet in Bandar Puteri Puchong (Small Animal Veterinary). The X-ray fees only 70-150 depending the size of your dog.

Thanks.
Do update me about the X-ray of your dog, because I don't think my dog's case is same with yours. I am interested in knowing what's wrong with your dog & how you make it better.

Re: anyone with experience for relocating dog's hip joint?
Hi,
Surgery will help correct the problem but the rest is depending on the supportive care given by the owner. I have seen cases where the owners bring the dogs for hydrotherapy sessions and also for acupunture sessions so as to help the dog recover better. Every case is unique so it's not easy to compare with another dog's case.

No. Dr Ong said the surgery will ONLY correct 50% of the problem, another 50% is her whole hind leg will "cacat" for the rest of her life. The surgery is by cutting the edge of the bone so that they can connect the dislocated bone back into the joint socket. If something goes wrong, I (or they) cannot implant the bone back to reserve everything.
& again that's why I am here for a better alternative.

Freewilly85, you might want to contact Dr. Susanna Brida-Hofherr to see if she might be able to help your dog.
Dr. Susanna is a German-trained veterinarian who has studied veterinary acupuncture and other alternative treatment methods for animals. I have not used her services personally, but I know people who have, and they all speak of her very highly. Most of all, I would trust her to be honest with you about whether or not she thinks she can help your dog.
You can find out more about her here: www.asiapaws.com
Wishing you and your dog best of luck!

He's probably talking about FHO surgery. Perhaps you can google it to understand it better.

That's exactly what my vet told me to do surgery for my rescued dog. Cut the edge and rejoining. He did few times to other dogs before, and so far the dogs could walk and run like normal.
I trust him because he did good job for all my furkids from spaying, neutering, cure food posion, give birth surgery, remove tumour, skin problem, etc.

Re: anyone with experience for relocating dog's hip joint?
Do not attempt that on your own I think, rather take them to a vet immediately! You wouldn't want to accidentally injure your pup further :( I hope you get help soon if you are able!
