Ah, I finally made it here to the vampire insomnia club, but everyone looks as if they are sleeping?

Vampires with insomnia? Hmmm... Well as a 156 year old undercover vampire prune I really do need my beauty sleep and the E45 cream doesn't work like it used to

so I try to avoid as much sun as I can... I've just sneaked inside a spare coffin here and hooked up my solar charger to my lap top to type out this message before I sleep...

I've been wondering who it was that first bit me though!

It wasn't Blackie, I thought it was Ezer, as these vampire elephants keep following me around... but, I think it may have been Missy!

I've just been going through my pictures, when I noticed something odd in one of them! The first picture is how the picture looks like normally... but then I held it up to the mirror and look what I saw! Can you see the difference! I took a picture of it in the mirror so you could all see, but you can't see me, as I have no reflection, on account of being a vampire you see, or don't see, ahem...

Now listening to lady gaga on radio gaga while I sleep!

I had just recently posted a topic on doggone lovin' but I guessed it did not passed the mod's censorship. Since this is a place to hang out and most of the ppl I wanted to address is here, might as well I write my 2 cents worth.

I am at awe, flabbergasted, painfully anguished by the sick and phychopathic terms and conditions some fosterer/rescuer has set in order for successful adoption.

Please. You are not only the chaps on the planet that love dogs. The things you write may show you care but please do not underestimate the potential love the new owner can shower on the 4-legged creature!

Some INSIST on house visit at ANYTIME. Please. It's my abode and it's my pet after it's being adopted. You have the right to ask for a visit BUT you cannot demand! It's my habitat and the pet is alreay mine, YOU BLOODY well ASK before you choose to tresspass!

Some INSIST that the dogs cannot be put onto guard duty. What sort of nonsense is this? It is not the innate nature of the dog to serve and protect their masters? What the heck is wrong with you?

Some INSIST that dogs be put through obedience school of their choosing. What is wrong with you - if I am happy how the dog behaves, on what grounds you have to insist upon?

I am going to avoid those fosterers who have been making the outrageous and superduper high-handed terms. If you are dictating those terms, why the heck are you giving them out in the first place - unable to pass your 516 levels of idiosyncratic conditions you set yourself in the first? This is hypocrisy rearing it's ugly head.

I have been handling dogs for at least 12 years and I have not come across such arrogant terms. If it is a win-win situation for both the owner and the pet, you have nothing else to say. It's the lethal injection OR an owner who makes the dog work but feeds and provide a home for it. Go figure that out.

Most mature adoption schemes around the world use contractual terms and conditions for adoption purposes, perhaps not to the extent of insisting on training schools, which I agree does seem a little excessive, but such points, I am sure, could be reasonably negotiated over.

Not all adoptions are successful, some for quite benign reasons, others, unfortunately, for far less than benign reasons. The contract is there to protect both the adopter, in the former case, and the adopted animal in the latter case.

While the contract primarily serves the above purpose, it's other purpose is to ensure the overall protection of the wider community of adopted pets and so such terms and conditions imply that we except minor personal inconveniences for the greater good of the community.

(This will be my only reply on this topic at this forum, if a debate is needed, then I suggest a new forum topic be created)
