Default Bathing a Shih Tzu

Hi~ I need an advised...

Past few weeks, my dad actually bring back a shih tzu from his friends. The friend was saying that another friend of his, no longer wanted the dog.. not sure why... but.. anyway, we name her sushi. ^.^

Previously we had a shih tzu before. but passed away due to old age. but that was so many years ago. Thus, we have some experience on taking care of this breed..

However.. i've some problem with bathing sushi. she seems like haven't been bathing for years.. =.= he body odour is really very strong. no matter how many times we bath her (not one shot. we bath her once a week), the smell is really very strong. Even right after the bath, the smell is still there.

actually, the odour is not the problem. the problem was bathing her. she seems like very very very afraid of water. i try to give her some treat at first. she was then very brave. she try to stay still when i'm bathing her body. but once i reached till her head. she kept on moving. she even rejected the treat

i had another 10 years old spitz.. of course he's (shiro) very obedient. I even bath shiro first, to let sushi see the way i bath shiro. I wanted to built up the confident and trust in her.. but then she still can't overcome the fear. I know that everything takes time. But is there anything that I could try..?? or i can do for her?

Hi, if the odor is strong, you can try giving him to eat raw egg and a little pinch of brown sugar. 2 times a week. It can reduce the body odor. It have worked for my dog :)

The head part if he doesn't like it, you can wet a towel and wipe it slowly for the beginning stages. Don't straight away use the shower to wash the face cause dogs doesn't like it that way Hope it helps :D

I'll try the raw egg.. ^.^

Before I bath her with water.. I actually use a damp cloth to start off with.. when I felt that she's already get used with the damp cloth... then I started to bath her with water.. but.. then.. she still can't get used to it...
