Yup. Glucose biasa yg dlm tin biru. Jangan pekat sangat k.. Tu ler, hanya kiter2 je yg tau betapa rapatnya kiter dgn kucing kiter. Memang x sanggup kalau difikirkan dorg tu duk luar kena hujan/panas... Syabas to u NANA!!

Ia kini memperolehi tenaga daripada protein dan lemak dalam daging atau makanan kucing. Protein/lemak/carbohydrate upon digestion all convert to energy utk badan kucing dan manusia. Gula sebenarnya tidak diperlukan langsung dlm makanan.

Sistem badan kucing amat berlainan daripada sistem badan manusia. Untuk manusia pun actually glucose dan gula adalah tidak baik dan boleh merupakan racun/toxic.

Kecuali your cat is has not been eating for a long time and very sick, dehydrated and weak. Itu pun kasi very SIKIT aje. Tapi dalam keadaan sebegini pun saya tidak akan memberi glucose atau gula, saya akan memberinya soup ayam pekat kosong tanpa sebarang perisa mcm bawang/rempah/gula/garam/msg dll.

Lagipun, you do not know whether your cat is diabetic or has a tendency towards diabetes. Sama mcm manusia.

No worries..as of today, Bulan and Bintang are well energized...Ni memang betul2 dah sihat dah...selera makan pun dah ok.... as for the vitamin, Nana blm try bg lg to see if they want it or not....biar drg enjoy after recovery ni, then I'll see if they want to take it or not...

I believe everyone here has the same love and concerns for our cats... Nana ni masih baru lg, and is experiencing accelerated learning... I appreciate everyone's suggestions and opinions...

Nana memang nk dgr dari everyone yg sudi b'kongsi pengalaman...but still in mind, at times, kucing2 kte pun need to be treated individualized...masing2 dgn perangai masing2...body system pun berbeza, or maybe the situation that kucing tu hadapi... so if one thing works for one cat, xsemestinya it would work for another cat..It's try n error...sebagai penerima nasihat...we think n decide the best for our cats, based on a collection of information....lebih byk, lebih baik, lebih meriah!!!

citrus macam orange, lemon, etc. (boleh cause vomitting)

alcohol (tak kan kiter bagi kucing alcohol kan? )
MILK = only give your cat KITTEN FORMULA, NOT baby milk

that is a good piece of information.

while we're on the topic, Nana nak tnya la regarding drg pnye food intake ni... Mcm kte manusia kan, there many types of food yang we CAN eat, tp too much, long term, we may end up with diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, liver problems, kidney problem, etc...all are very much related to food intake...and xlupe juge, lack of excercise and stressful life style...Therefore, kte ade lah langkah berjaga2 untuk mengurangkan risiko penyakit di masa akan datang kn....... so the question is... food or things to do to minimize diseases/health problems in cats...

mcm basics tu yelah, bg makan, jg kebersihan, vaccine... tp other than that... Nana nak super healthy cats..Nana xnak 1 day dpt tau drg sakit disebabkan something yang Nana boleh prevent. I mean, like, dulu ms drg kecil Nana bg drg full-cream milk, dah habis 1L drg minum, br Nana jumpe article psl milk .

Ikut pengalaman Pakcu, mana2 yg bole di elakkan, cubala elak. Macam list yg charlene bagi n baca info kat website tu. Makan/minum/exercise tu biasala. Kalau bole bagi la super premium foods n treat dgn wetfood sekali sekala. Mandi seminggu sekali (lepas vaksin jgn mandi seminggu), groom hari-hari even for DSH, n selalu2 la berbual n main2 dgn kucing. Less stress cats is a healthy cats.. Pakcu pegang pd tu jer, yg lain Pakcu serahkan pada Tuhan untuk tentukan..

Nana kalau dah bagi premium kibbles tak payah sendiri bagi multivitamin sebagai tambahan. Kalau nak bagi jugak, make sure you do not overdose especially Vitamin A. Also, you need to be careful about the form of vitamin you are giving your cat (sama macam manusia), normally the cheaper forms are less absorbable and the kidneys take more effort to get rid of them through the urine (mcm calcium supplement manusia - the cheaper forms are calcium carbonate which is low in absorbsion (?spell?) and is very hard on the kidney and many uninformed people main beli makan aje. My cats are all on good expensive kibbles tapi if you put your cats on cheap kibbles pastu tambah vitamin supplement, the total cost of it is equally high if you take into consideration the cats' health and vet bills plus the time and effort you take to check the supplements' quality as well.

What do you mean by starving cats, Nana? A little glucose is given by the vet if the cat is found to be hypoglycaemic (meaning that the sugar level in the blood is very low) and a small dose of glucose immediately restores the blood sugar level (faster than that derived from eating some food, or the cat is so weak and sick it cannot eat at all). Just because the vet does it doesn't mean you should do it. The vet lakukan an informed action (which not necessarily you know about) because he is a trained medical personnel.

But realistically, there are also lousy vets who makes the wrong diagnostics and prescribes wrong medications ... (example, I have seen vets use steroids so freely even as the first line of treatment padahal we all know steroids should be dispensed last after all other safer medications have failed. I have seen vets putting the Ilium steroid eye medication on cats without restraint even though terang benderang, it is written on the tube that people should use other safer medications first and the steroid should be used as a last resort. Sure, the cat heals ... but the steroid renders all other safer medication useless on the cat from then on!)
