SOS! 2 days old kitten needs urgent fosterer

dear all,

someone (very evil!) just brought a 2 day old kitten to be euthanised at a vet!
kitten is still active and very alive, and vet says has a good chance of making it. needs to be syringe fed.
we have until this evening to find a fosterer for this kitten.
pls sms chan kah yein at 012-6935870 if u or know someone who can help.
kitten milk, hot water bottle and cage will be provided, if need be.
all lives are precious. pls help pass the words around.

I am so happy and relieved to hear that Baby Kit is safe and sound with her new surrogate mother! We will pray for Baby Kit to survive.

Ramzee's Mummy has very little or no milk now (her own litter is already about 1 mth old)...

this morning, Babykit's stools has a bit of blood...

we are now urgently looking for a fosterer with a mum-cat whose litter is about 1 week (ideally) or, someone who can syringe feed Babykit...

I am so sorry to hear about Baby Kit's demised
You, Ramzee and Mummy has tried your level best to save Baby Kit but I geuss God loves her more.
Most important is that you never gave up on Baby Kit!

It's so sad that the baby didn't make it. He/She's in a better place now, no more worries of having to face this challenging world ...

At the same time, i still would like to congratulate those who have done their very best to help her.

On another thread, Pak Lubis is also fighting to save his newly found kittens. One also had the same symptoms i.e. trace of blood in the stools.
I'm just wondering ... perhaps it's the same case as when we feed our cats a different type of food, i.e. a sudden change, and this will upset the cat's stomach. Same thing goes for the kitty. It's used to the mummy's "type" of milk, but when changed to another mummy's, it upsets their stomach. If that's the case, then what do we give to treat their stomach lining so it heals fast enough ?

On another point, some people (that i talked to) might think it's for the kitten's own good that he/she be put to sleep before having to face the pains. But i choose to strongly disagree with them. Every life is worth saving.

My 4 kitten at first look healthy,passed away 1 on Thursday and 3 on Friday. All of them have traces of blood in their stool.
I think the kitten of age below 15 days found without mother is not used to other food other than its mum's milk.

hi pak lubis, sorry to hear abt ur kittens...

i guess it's very hard for such young kittens to survive without their mother's milk, but i know there are cases where the kittens do make it... my fren rescued and nursed 3 tiny kittens when they were just 2 days old (2 weeks later they opened their eyes) and the 3 have all grown to be such healthy cats today, they r 4 yrs old now...

I agree with you, pugsnmutts. I took Blackie in when he was 2 or 3 days old, bottle-fed him, and he's now a plump, healthy little 4-year-old.

i think i am yet to learn more how to raise rescued kitten tht is less than 10 days old. If other can manage why i cant.? Perhaps those who succeeded can give some do's and dont's.

Who knows may be i have to look after orphan kitten in future
