Although I'm a confident dog owner, yesterday, I rescued a sick mongrel and now I'm feeling less sure of myself. If there is anyone out there who can help me with advice on taking care of a sick puppy or about re-homing one, please message. Thanks so much.

Can you tell us where you stay and a little bit more info about the problems you're having with this puppy? It will help members give you better advice.

Thank for the response. I stay in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong. The vet said that the pup is in good health for a street dog but he's not eating much. Everytime he sleeps he shivers with each breath. When he wakes up he eats a little. Yesterday I fed him egg white with a spoon. But he's becoming so thin! I'm not sure if he's eating enough. I've tried Mincing boiled chicken but he's still not eating healthy portions for a growing puppy.

May I ask which vet did you go to? I believe the pup is actually sick. If you need a vet's recommendation around you area, pls let me know. Thanks.

I have not yet been to this vet clinic yet -- it's new -- but it sounds like the managing vet might be excellent, and the clinic is in Bandar Kinrara. Maybe you can give them a try?

Thanks Maneki. Actually I have gone to this vet but he is a tad expensive. I do prefer my regular vet who always has the time to answer questions and discuss the needs of my dogs. Dr Agas is really good like that.

Thanks Furrenz for the advice. I have taken my new pup to the vet and he had a cold. He's on antibiotics and pills to boost his immune system and appetite. He's ok now and is quite the active, bouncy pup (as he should be).

Dr Agas is a good vet. There is a Dr Goh around Kinrara who is also a good vet. Glad the pup is on the road to recovery. :)
