never been to animal shelters before, this would be the first of many
well, as mentioned before, i can pick-up lisa in kelana jaya and i think bell is living around puchong.....
bell, y dont u car-pool with me since we r goin from puchong anyways.....avoid taking so many cars what do u tink?
if lisa n bell agrees, then my car shud hav me, my cousin (alvin), his gf (carmen), lisa and bell, shud fit in nicely
so lisa and bell, do let us know.....
what about you, darren, and pugsnmutts? do you guys want to car-pool together?

hi guys...

just want 2 let u know that the cat kepper at Paws is Ah Chun but 4 dogs im not sure.
they have brush, cotton bud n clipper if u need it.
be careful wit kittens coz they run out when u open the enclosure.
kittens n adult cats are in diffrent enclosure.adult cat in the bigger enclosure.
only kittens that have tag is ready to adopt.

got a monkey there but not 2 friendly (if still there)...

can bring wet tissue (wipe tissue) if u want.

Are you first time do volunteer job at those arae SPCA or PAWS? Those no as pet, they are real pity and sad. They through living day by day,year by year waiting someone bring them home. I very proud you really able go there. You can look at dog eyes, will know the sadness from them.

Edward has gave us the permission to go there in groups, thats y we postpone it from this week to 30/11 ,is because of their request.

Hi, Dog is My Buddy,
Yes, this would be my first time going to PAWS and an animal shelter. And I know the animals there must be very sad and I am sadden about this. When there was a young dog rescued from under the stairs at my office recently, I could see that look in its eyes. I hope that dog is now ok at shelter. And living at the shelter, there's always a risk of an animal being put to sleep due to lack of living space, which is very sad. I hope we will be able to achieve a "no kill" policy for animal rescued in the near future.

Like all who love animals, by going to help at the animal shelters, we hope we can help in whatever ways we can. I wish I can foster the rescued animals but I can't because I am not living at my own property. Nevertheless, let us all do our parts and like a saying goes,

"Do what you can, for whom you can, with what you have, and where you are !!!!!!!!!" (it's one of my motto in life)

Hi Guys, thanks for your feedback... Wow... we have quite a number of volunteers ... Lets make it a cool outing. Before this i just curi - curi ambil a few photos of the residents.

This is a first time that we are holding a full force comprising group of volunteers. So, this will be a new learning curve for everybody.

PAWS are welcoming our effort to help, but we still need to comply to their request and instructions on their site....

Have anyone in the list has ever been to Animal Shelter before? SPCA/PAWS or anywhere else...

Hi Guys,

Great to see that you guys have organized yourselves well. Good job!

I have also spoken to Edward of PAWS, and he is fine with the schedule.

PAWS is usually quite low on resources during the weekends due to many visitors and people surrendering their animals. So, to the PAWS veteran volunteers Ai Ney and Darren, please provide guidance to our new team of volunteers so that you all can work independently while PAWS staff attend to the visitors.

Edward won't be around on Sunday, so you guys might need to liaise with someone else, maybe Julie, on checking the existing PAWS profiles' adoption statuses.

pugsnmutts not goin, hmmmm, nex time perhaps, my car will have lisa and bell and my cousin n his gf, so definitely 5 persons in the car, for the 5 of us, i blieve, i can safely said.........WE ARE ROOKIE, 1st TIMER (bell, are you? ) never been to PAWS or SPCA, but will get prepare with the list of things required.
so, darren, we will require your guidance and advice , the question now is, should we meet u directly in PAWS? or in a meeting point?

just an update, was a successful outing for us, darren, lisa, bell, alvin (my cousin), carmen(alvin's gf) n me, according to darren almost 95% of the dogs photos are taken, pic release will most probably by this week, tired but happy and satisfied as we are able to help, started at around 0915am and ended almost around 1230pm, alot of volunteers (some to bath, some to vaccine, some to walk the dogs, a volunteer named CP came over n help us) did came on that day as well, a few visitors (contrary to what uncle charlie said "there will be ALOT of visitors") nevertheless, it was a fun time, a learning experience to all of us, which i wont give up for anything else in the world, hopefully there will be such an outing next time, n more volunteers show up to help.

Great job in your volunteering jobs! Hope that you all had a great time, and would be able to continue providing assistance to PAWS in the future.

For the photos taken, please name them according to the pet's tag/name, and compile all the pet profile details (i.e. name, age, gender, breed, description) into one text or Microsoft Word file, then zip up all the files into one archive and email it to me. For any existing animals to be marked as adopted, please list down their names/IDs as well.

Thanks for the great efforts! I can't wait to check out the profiles and put them up at our website
