Post Should I cage my 14 cats?

I am fostering 14 cats. They are strays from my backlane and some abandoned pets that had wandered into my front. All the cats are sent for blood test, spayed or neutered and given the annual vaccinations. The question is, SHOULD I CAGE THEM? I tried caging them for a year and as time pass, they get agitated easily and fight among themselve. I estimated their age between 10years to 8 months. Earlier this year, I released them. My backlane is safe from dogs, but not from humans.

First of all, bravo to u! U have saved alot of uncared litters by neutering and spaying the adult cats! Wish alot of people will do the same too...

I suggest , u cage them at night only. Free them in the morning...by doing this everyday, they will not go wandering too far from ur house. Of course, this practise take patience. They will adapt with the new routine slowly.

Are the people living there dislike cats? Have they done something to them?

Thanks for your suggestion.
My direct backdoor neighbour young man is a bit sicko in the sense that he took down the grille netting and now complain cats entered his extended backyard ransacking the dustbin. It can be rats (oh there are plenty and giant in size). I told him to put back the netting and he ask me to install for him.
My next door complained the cat poo at his front. There are so many strays cats on the street and sometimes owners allow their dogs to poo everywhere.
There will be strays and if they cannot tolerate they should stay at condo.
I provide poo boxes for the cats.
We started caging them at night incase they lay poison.

If you claim to be a animal lover, please do not let your cats roam freely outside. They bound to poo/pee here and there which will be nuisance to your neighbours and please do not just blame your neighbours. Just let the cats remain in door. Sorry but no offense meant.

scoop,
you miss the point. when i said fostering, it means i cannot take them in as my pets, because i already have mine indoor. if i intend to keep them, then i will write my pets.
You are quick to blame me without reading indepth. Whether i foster them or not, there will be strays cats wandering the backlane and front.
Just because i take care of them, it does not mean i am the owner.

I am not blamming you. It is a certain fact that there are bound to have people who tends to dislikes animals so we have to live with that and no point condemning them. Cheers and happy new year.
