A week with 5 year old adopted Rottie

Well its been a week since "Rambo" came into our lives and he has been great so far. He gets a long fine with my 2 other doggies as well as the rest of my family.

My wife can't stop hugging him and he can't stop licking my 9 year old son Last night he decided to roll over and practically begged me to give him tummy rubs.

Rambo (Rottweiler) was given up to SPCA Penang by his owner about 2 weeks back. I spent a whole week with him at SPCA to get to know him better before bringing him home. He is a Pedigree who comes from a bloodline of grand champions all over the world and is super gentle/loyal to us while carrying out his duty to protect the house at night

I'm now training him on basic obedience commands and he's picking them up real fast. To those looking for a good pet, your local dog shelter such as SPCA, PAWS etc should be the first place to go instead of the pet shop.

rambo sounds awesome!!
any idea why he was given up by his previous owners? its good that he has bonded with you and your family so quickly. dogs are great aren't they? they just want to be loved and give you love in return. thanks for giving an adult dog a second chance at happiness!! usually people are only interested in puppies

Yea he is really great. Previous owner said it bit her husband and the maid but I doubt it from observing his behaviour. Have also uploaded some pics of Rambo here : http://www.petfinder.my/pets/4103/
