Hai friends

I have a lot of idea to build my cat tree and something DIY thing for my babys .
The problems is I still stuck and short of material. So I need your help if any of you know where to find carpet the been used by after market cat tree. About a month am searching DIY store but still can't find it, what I can fine only kapet kereta yg kasar tp xjumpa put kapet lembut yg biasa di gunakan kat cat tree tu.
Any of you where I can fine the smooth carpet for my cat tree project. your help is appreciate

I faced the same problem as yours and made the DIY project delayed for some times. But one day I found a cheap ' selimut' for only rm9.90 & the size is more than enough for my cat tree. I bought it from a shop which sell variety of stuff with cheap price ( more like thailand fair)
Where are U? If u are from JB maybe I can tell U the location.

If U are not from JB , maybe u can try asking for 'selimut' and see the material from the ' thailand fair shop' But I did came a crossed the same selimut at Tesco ( wool type)but for a higher price ( RM 19.90) maybe U can give it try as the material is nearly the same with the cat tree at the pet shop. I from selangor, but if used selimut the cat tree will be not so cute hihihi...
This Sunday I want to try searching at IKEA if I found it I will let you know if not I think I need used selimut jugak la...I thing the carpet is impossible to found it kan?

Ezat: Nak buat camane, dah lama cari material tu... tapi hampa, jumpa selimut tu secara kebetulan... oklah dari takda. Kesian kat anak2 dah lama tunggu cat tower tu. Sisal rope pun saya tak dapat jumpa... puas cari kat kedai hardware dan kedai gubahan pengatin seperti yang dicadangkan dan akhirnya saya guna alternatif tali nylon macam org buat sidai baju tu ok je anak2 dok mencakar
Kalau gie ikea jumpa cakap eh... raya cina ni KIV ke KL ... boleh gie beli sebab ada material utk buat 2nd cat tower.

kalau rope tu ada kat sini akak, cari kat ACE hardware tp kat johor xpasti.tp akak dtg kl cari ACE hardware. tp carpet tu hehehe kecewa.tp harap2 ada kat IKEA la.kalau ada sy bg tau orite

Nak tanya ada tak cawangan ACE Hardware dekat2 area IKEA tu? Macam ternampak tapi masa tu nak cepat so pandang sekilas pandang je.... kalau betul bolehlah gi beli sana je sisal rope tu

hi utaka! welcome to the club. kalau cat tree akak yg basic je akak buat. list yg akak guna spt berikut:
1: plywood ikut design kita nk buat ( akak dpt foc je sbb kutip kt kg )
2: L braket (rm 2 sepasang)
3: papan gulung yg biasa gulung tikar getah ( foc dbb mintak kt kedai kain sbb member )
4: sisal rope ( beli kat hardware store - ari tu x jumpa cari so pkai tali nylon 40sen semeter)
5: akak guna kain kapas tebal yg org guna buat selimut je (rm9.90 je - besar lg )
6: mainan terpakai diorang buat gantung kt tree nanti. diorang mesti suka

camana ek nk cakap....... dia bukan papan sebenarnya, lebih kpd kadboard keras yg kalau satu gulung kain yg kat tengah2 tu. kalau tikar getah gulung kadboard lebih besar dan keras. apa kata utaka gi kedai kain atau kedai yg jual tikar getah untuk tgok contoh.

Macamana attach papan gulung tu kat plywood? Kena paku ke?

Saya nk buat cat tree baru sebab yang scratching pole saya beli dulu dah nampak kecik plak sejak kucing makin membesar. Tali pun dah berbulu-bulu

Hi Meffy,

Akak guna L braket yg boleh dibeli kat hardware store. Akak beli RM2 je sepasang dan guna skru dan nat untuk gegulung kadboard keras tue dan screw shj ke plywood ( ketuk skit dan apply sikit pressure untuk screw ke papan plywood tu) So far masih bertahan scratching post walaupun dah masuk setahun lebih buat
